When it comes to cracking random passwords, the important measurement is how many possibilities there are.
This tool uses a database of 1,000 words, so each word has 1,000 possible choices, and thus multiplies the total number of possibilities by 1,000.

In technical-speak, each random word adds 10 bits of entropy to the password, so for example, a 6-word password has 60 bits of entropy.
